Telos developed custom software systems under contract to businesses and the government (especially Jet Propulsion Labs in Pasadena, California). During my tenure, the Telos Business Systems Division experimented with development and marketing of both vertical and horizontal software products. Sadly, Telos downsized substantially in the fall of 1985 due to a business slowdown. Thereafter, they were sold repeatedly. Their business offices have been relocated to Ashburn, VA
Member of the Filevision and Business Filevision QA teams. Generated test cases to exercise all major functions of the drawing system and database system for these two Macintosh products prior to their release.
Lead Programmer for EdNet, an AppleTalk Educational Network of Apple ][ computers with ProDOS and AppleTalk OSI network protocols. Codesigned the Classroom and Resource Management Systems, including the File and Print Servers. Developed a structured programming macro library for the ORCA/M assembler.
Member of the team converting a MIS to run under a Datapoint system emulator on the Perkin Elmer 3230 under MTM (multi-terminal monitor). Designed and implemented the Datashare Instruction Interpreter. Developed a structured programming macro library for the Perkin Elmer MACRO assembler.
Lead Programmer for the development of Memo Processor (with Data Communications). Managed QA for Memo Processor and companion Spreadsheet and Personal Database products. Products were developed with Texas Instruments TMS 7000 assembler on a TI 990 host for TI's laptop prototype Compact Computers.
Lead Programmer for the Commercial Auto Rating System (CARS). Designed the actuarial database and the policy data entry program. Designed and implemented the data validation and policy rating programs. Managed one programmer and QA for the entire system. Developed this system with Ryan McFarland COBOL on the TI 990 under TI DX10.
Codesigned the user interface and functions of a mass market personal information manager. Designed and implemented the screen and storage interfaces in Pascal for the Apple /// with SOS and the IBM PC with PC-DOS.
Designed and implemented an Inquiry and Report Subsystem for a School Administration MIS in RS / COBOL on the Tandy TRS-80 with TRS-DOS. Developed the QA test plan for this subsystem.
Designed and implemented the Student Grade History subsystem of a Student Data System in RM/COBOL on the TI 990.
Designed and implemented a mark sense card reader interface in TI 9900 SDSMAC assembler language.
